Copyright & Takedown

Beta draft updated July 19, 2026

Cosmory is not a full music or video host, but artist pages still need clear rights rules. This page sets the beta foundation for ownership, permissions, and review.

Artist rights promise

Artists retain ownership of their submitted work and grant Cosmory only the limited rights needed to display and deliver their page materials.

Rights responsibility

Artists must only submit content, images, text, audio previews, links, and claims they have permission to use. Credits and collaborator permissions matter.

External services

Most music and video remains on official third-party services. Copyright issues on those platforms may also need to be reported directly to the relevant provider.

Takedown requests

A takedown request should identify the material, the rights owner, the location on Cosmory, contact information, and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized.

What to include

Helpful notices include the exact URL, screenshots or titles when useful, proof of ownership or authorization, and whether the issue is urgent, private, or safety-related.

Review process

Cosmory may remove, hide, or restrict disputed material while reviewing a claim. Repeat or serious rights issues may affect artist access.

Uploaded previews

Uploaded featured previews should remain a later Studio-only feature with rights attestation, duration limits, review tools, and a clear continue-to-service flow.

Repeat issues

Repeated or serious rights problems may lead to content removal, page suspension, or revoked artist access while the issue is reviewed.

No legal advice

This page is a beta operational policy draft and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before full public or paid launch.
